How to Choose the Right Broker

It can become a confusing proposition to identify the brokerage firm that is the best fit for your work style and career goals. Whether you are a new agent or an experienced, productive agent, the final decision should be based on some critical factors. Here are some key questions to get you started:

Growth
  • Does the firm offer a coaching program?
  • Does the firm have systems in place that help you spend less time running your business and more time with customers?
  • If you are building a team, will the firm help you hire and train buyer’s agents or personal assistants?
  • Is the firm willing to show you results from other agents they have supported in growing their business and will they allow you to speak with those agents?
  • Does the firm offer a lucrative recruiting program?
  • Is there an ongoing training program from a certified trainer versus an agent?
  • Does the firm provide training or mentoring with qualified, successful agents?
  • Do they offer CEU classes?
  • Is there a quarterly training calendar?

Support
  • Are multiple members of management available for support?
  • Does the firm offer administrative support?
  • Does the firm have a call center enabling you to spend less time setting up showings?
  • Does the firm have a specialized Business Development Department
  • Does the firm provide multiple IT staff for agent support?

  • What kind of agent support is offered by the company?
  • What client support tools does the company offer?

  • Does the firm offer a reverse MLS search for buyers?
  • Do they provide Internet leads?

What our agents are saying

NH real estate agent Mark Allen"A nice thing about Verani is you can work out of any of the 10+ offices they've got whenever you want.

Technically, I am affiliated with the Bedford office.  But I frequently find myself meeting with clients or just doing some work in Londonderry, Nashua, Concord, Epping, or Exeter."
