Experience a Winter Wonderland at the Festival of Trees

One of Verani’s favorite holiday traditions is back – the 22^nd Annual Festival of Trees! Each year our Lakes Region agents decorate a tree that goes on display for a weekend and then is donated to a family in need. This year our tree will have the theme “A Verani Smurf Christmas” and will be decked out in everything blue and Smurf-related. Our agents have been hard at work this month untangling lights, collecting decorations and supplies, and then putting them all together for a festive tree.

The Festival of Trees has become a tradition in the Lakes Region, and offers raffles, cider, cookies, lots of holiday cheer and – of course – spectacularly decorated trees. This year about 50 trees will be on display, and they’ll range from the elegant to the nostalgic and everything in between! Children will also have the chance to get a free book from the literacy tree.

Admission is $5, and proceeds support local Christmas funds, scholarship, and community service efforts. The event is held by Altrusa International of Meredith, an organization dedicated to improving communities through leadership, partnership and service.
