Michele Engel of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty has been named the 2017 Lakes Region Board of REALTORs (LRBR) REALTOR® of the Year. Engel was given the award during the Board’s June meeting at Church Landing at Mill Falls in Meredith.
“I am honored to accept this award,” said Engel. “It has been a pleasure working with my fellow REALTORS® in the Lakes Region for the past 20 years.”

NEAR individual top producers achieve a minimum of $3.5 million in sales volume or 10 sides, and are ranked according to four categories of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Karle to assist with Verani’s Lakes Region offices
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty (Verani) recently promoted Norma Karle to the role of assistant manager of their Belmont, Bristol and Moultonborough offices. Karle will assist with compliance, onboarding and training programs, recruiting new agents, and marketing and building Verani’s professional presence in the Lakes Region.
With reports of bidding wars, low inventory, rising home prices and higher interest rates, buyers are struggling to find their ideal home, especially first time buyers. For buyers who have some money saved up and aren’t looking for historic homes or established neighborhoods, this could be the prime time to build a house instead of buy an existing one.
As fuel assistance grants run out, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s (Verani) Windham office turned their efforts to offering some residents greatly needed fuel assistance. With winnings from a contest won through VeraniCARES – a philanthropic and social development arm of Verani Realty – the office donated $2,000 to B&H Oil Company to help needy local families and individuals stay warm for the remainder of the heating season.
