May is Brain Tumor Awareness month, and to help raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty was one of ten local businesses that sponsored the Go Gray in May 5K in Bristol. On April 29, over 120 participants, including Verani agent Kathy Bagley, walked and ran to bring awareness to this important cause. The event raise a total of $4,000.
Our Belmont office stepped back in time to the age of jazz and flappers at the Silver Spring Gala last weekend to benefit New Beginnings – Without Violence and Abuse. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty participated in a sponsorship for the event through its philanthropic and social development initiative, VeraniCARES.
As fuel assistance grants run out, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s (Verani) Windham office turned their efforts to offering some residents greatly needed fuel assistance. With winnings from a contest won through VeraniCARES – a philanthropic and social development arm of Verani Realty – the office donated $2,000 to B&H Oil Company to help needy local families and individuals stay warm for the remainder of the heating season.
The team from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s Amherst, NH, office went on a road trip to visit the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley and present a $500 donation.
Girls Incorporated of New Hampshire is one step closer to a new look for their Nashua building thanks to VeraniCARES. Margherita Verani, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty, stopped by to meet with Cathy Duffy, CEO of Girls Inc. and deliver a $10,000 donation.

Berkshire Hathaway Verani Realty recently contributed $10,000.00 to the Granite YMCA in Manchester, NH. The donation will be used to help extend the size of the YMCA's Teen Center. Currently over 60 children utilize the Teen Center on a daily basis. The space is about 2200 sq. ft. and they are hoping to expand the center to over 6000 sq. ft. They will be building two new teen centers in the next twenty-four months, to be located in both Manchester, NH and Goffstown, NH.
Recently our VeraniCARES team had the opportunity to visit with MPAL Program Director, Officer John Levasseur, and present him with a donation of $3000.00 to help support the organization’s mission.
This summer Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty launched an internal philanthropic initiative to help raise awareness and funds for local charities in communities we service. We took our already successful VeraniCARES Program and developed a contest among our 10 Regions throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts known as VeraniCARES 3.2.1.
At the beginning of December, a Londonderry family narrowly escaped a devastating fire and needed help from the community. The family lost everything including their home which was completely destroyed in the fire.
Needing a place to live, furniture, clothing and even Christmas presents for their four children—the community was quick to come to their rescue.
